This setting specifies whether or not students can resume an attempt.

Attempts cannot be resumed.
Yes
Students will be given the choice to either resume any previous attempts that
are still in progress, or start a new attempt.
Force
If there is a previous attempt that is still in progress, students
will be forced to resume that attempt. Otherwise, they can start a new attempt.
